Under Age 6: Preschool Program

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM (UNDER AGE 6)

The Preschool program takes advantage of the rapidly developing independence and social maturity the 
Under Age 6 group exhibits. Integrating the arts throughout the curriculum, learning cooperation and developing a
realization of one’s role in a group effort, are some of the many classroom goals.

UNDER AGE 6 CURRICULUM

Curriculum areas stress social abilities/self-expression which includes many aspects of building a positive self-image, as well as perspective in taking in work and social situations. The goal area of creative/problem-solving encourages expression through the creative arts. Manipulating, transforming and combining materials in unique ways, offer the children the opportunity to experiment with their own ideas, and to problem solve creatively.

Language development, Vocabulary expansion, Pre-Reading/Writing skills, Pre-Math skills, Social Studies
and Science experiences are incorporated into the program. Being a Catholic school, Religion is integrated by way of experience to cultivate love of God, self, and neighbor.

The curriculum of the Under Age 6-years old covers the following:
